About
Sugarfoot Glade Campground is a free, first-come first-served primitive camping area in Mendocino National Forest, located approximately 65 miles west of Red Bluff. The campground sits at an elevation among oak and ponderosa pine trees, providing a quiet forested setting away from crowds. A small seasonal creek flows through the campground early in the season, adding to the natural ambiance, though it typically runs dry by late summer. The campground features vault toilets and picnic tables but no potable water, so campers should bring an adequate supply. Quiet hours are enforced from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. As a primitive national forest campground with no fees, Sugarfoot Glade offers a rustic camping experience without reservations or amenities like hookups or showers. Visitors may camp for up to 14 days within any 30-day period.
