About

Stevens Lake Campground is a small, remote recreation area located on the western shore of 300-acre Stevens Lake in the Eagle River-Florence District of Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest. The campground sits in a maturing mixed forest of aspen and sugar maple, offering a peaceful setting for anglers and hunters. The campground has 6 developed campsites, with five offering scenic views of Stevens Lake. Sites are equipped with picnic tables and fire rings, and the campground provides accessible vault toilets and potable drinking water. A paved boat landing within the campground offers easy access to the lake, which is moderately good for walleye, northern pike, and panfish year-round. The mostly undeveloped shoreline maintains a natural character with only a few cabins and homes on the north and east shores. The campground serves as an excellent base camp for exploring nearby trails including the Perch Lake Trail and connections to the Pine River area. It's particularly popular on summer weekends and with fall hunters. Stevens Lake accommodates RVs with varying site lengths from 25 to 40 feet.

Directions

From the north intersection of Highway 139 and Highway 70, drive west 3 miles on Highway 70 to Forest Road 2424. Turn left (south) on FR 2424 and drive 3.3 miles to Stevens Lake Campground.
