About

Lost Lake Campground is located in northeastern Wisconsin on the north shore of Lost Lake, an 86-acre crystal-clear lake stocked with brown trout, rainbow trout, and smallmouth bass. The campground features 27 campsites set among maple, aspen, and towering white pine trees, with some sites offering waterfront access. No motors of any kind are permitted on the lake, creating a peaceful environment for canoeing, kayaking, and fishing. The campground offers both reservable and first-come, first-served sites, all equipped with picnic tables and fire rings with grills. The recreation area provides excellent access to multiple trail systems. The adjacent Assessor's Interpretive Trail winds through majestic 150-year-old hemlock and hardwood stands, while the 3.3-mile Ridge Trail connects Lost Lake to Chipmunk Rapids Campground and eventually to the Lauterman National Recreation Trail system. The Lost Lake Trail loops the lake itself, passing through old-growth hemlock forests. Wildlife viewing opportunities abound, with resident American bald eagles and loons frequently spotted in the area. Day-use facilities include a sandy swimming beach, boat access area, and small picnic area. The town of Florence, located approximately 20 miles east, offers visitor services and supplies. The campground provides vault toilets and drinking water from a pressurized system or hand pump.
