About

Stateline Cove Campground is a dispersed beach camping area situated on the sandy shores of Flaming Gorge Reservoir within the Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area. The campground sits at the Utah-Wyoming border, approximately six miles east of Manila, Utah. Unlike developed campgrounds, Stateline Cove allows campers to choose their own spot along the beach, offering flexibility and solitude. The setting is high desert with no trees, providing expansive views of the reservoir and surrounding landscape. Campers should come prepared for sun exposure and potentially windy conditions. The campground provides basic facilities including three vault toilets and four portable toilets, along with some picnic tables and limited fire rings. Potable water is not available, so visitors must bring their own supply. With direct access to Flaming Gorge Reservoir, this location is ideal for boating, fishing, swimming, and kayaking. The dispersed camping format and sandy beach environment make it popular with those seeking a more primitive, flexible camping experience close to the water.

Directions

From Manila, UT take UT-44 to the UT/WY stateline on WY-530 and turn right on Lucerne Valley Road. Travel 2.5 miles to Stateline Cove Road. Follow the dirt road to the campground kiosk/entrance.
