About
Crane Valley Group Campground is located adjacent to Bass Lake in Sierra National Forest on the western slope of the central Sierra Nevada. The facility is designed to accommodate up to 7 groups with both tents and RVs, nestled beneath a dense forest canopy of oak, cedar, and pine trees. While the campsites do not offer direct views of the lake, the campground provides convenient access to the many recreational activities and attractions in the Bass Lake area. Bass Lake offers extensive opportunities for outdoor recreation including motorized and non-motorized boating, fishing for bass, trout, bluegill, and catfish, swimming, hiking, sailing, and water skiing. California Land Management sponsors a variety of interpretive programs throughout the summer at several locations around Bass Lake. The terrain ranges from rolling, oak-covered foothills to heavily forested middle elevation slopes characteristic of the Sierra National Forest. Yosemite National Park is located less than an hour away and makes an ideal day trip from Crane Valley Campground. The campground's location in the Sierra National Forest provides access to the spectacular mountain scenery and abundant natural resources for which the region is known.
