Lee State Park Campground sits along the scenic Lynches River in Lee County, South Carolina, conveniently located just off Interstate 20. Built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s, the park maintains its classic CCC architecture and rustic charm. The campground operates year-round and features 19 family camping sites and 18 equestrian camping sites, each with water and electrical hookups. Several sites offer full hookups with sewer connections, including family sites 15, 17, 19, 21, 23, and 25, as well as equestrian sites 44-48. RV campers can be accommodated up to 36 feet on some sites and up to 30 feet on others. The campground provides modern amenities including restrooms with hot showers, a dump station, and Wi-Fi availability. For larger groups, the park offers a primitive group camping area with three designated sites that can accommodate up to 25 people per site, with central water and a privy. The park is a popular destination for equestrian camping, with hitching rails and dedicated horse campsites. Pets are welcome on leashes. Visitors can enjoy fishing in the Lynches River, hiking nature trails, and exploring the natural beauty of this historic park. Reservations require a minimum two-night stay and can be made through the South Carolina State Parks reservation system.
