About
Myrtle Beach State Park Campground sits along one of the last stretches of natural coastline on South Carolina's Grand Strand. The 278-site campground includes 140 standard sites with water and electric hookups, 138 full hookup sites with sewer connections, and a 30-site tent-only overflow area that operates from Easter through Labor Day. Sites are shaded by a maritime forest of live oaks and loblolly pines, with many accommodating RVs up to 40 feet.
Campers have access to modern amenities including hot showers, restrooms, a laundromat, dump station, and complimentary WiFi throughout the campground. The Ranger Station sells limited groceries, camping supplies, and souvenirs. Beyond the campground, the park offers a mile of pristine beach, a 660-foot fishing pier with its own bait shop, nature center, and hiking trails through the maritime forest.
The park's location provides easy access to Myrtle Beach attractions while preserving a quieter, more natural coastal camping experience. Reservations are strongly recommended, especially during summer months when the park frequently reaches capacity.
Directions
Located at 4401 South Kings Highway in Myrtle Beach. From US-17 (Kings Highway), the park entrance is on the ocean side approximately 3 miles south of downtown Myrtle Beach.
