Huntington Beach State Park Campground offers 173 campsites across two distinct campground areas on South Carolina's coast. The North Campground provides the original camping area with 107 sites featuring 30-amp electric and water hookups, plus six rustic walk-in tent sites with tent pads and central water. The South Campground contains 66 sites with 50-amp full hookup service. Several sites throughout the campgrounds accommodate RVs up to 40 feet, while others handle rigs up to 30 feet. The campground provides hot showers, flush restrooms, and is conveniently located near three miles of pristine, rarely crowded beach. Campers can fish from the jetty or surf, explore nature trails and boardwalks, and visit Atalaya, the Moorish-style National Historic Landmark that was the winter home of sculptor Anna Hyatt Huntington and philanthropist Archer Huntington. The 2,500-acre coastal preserve is renowned for exceptional bird-watching opportunities on the East Coast. Campsites accommodate a maximum of six people with either one RV/trailer and one tent or two tents per site. The park maintains a 14-night maximum stay per site with a cumulative maximum of 42 out of 49 days. Dogs are welcome year-round on leash and allowed on the south end of the beach. Golf carts are permitted with a valid permit and incur a $5 per night charge.
