Cheraw State Park Campground is nestled along the shores of Lake Juniper, a 360-acre lake in the South Carolina Sandhills region. The campground offers 17 standard sites with water and 30-amp electric hookups, including 6 coveted waterfront sites. Two sites (4 and 5) provide full hookups with sewer service. Pull-through sites accommodate RVs up to 40 feet, while other sites handle units up to 34 feet. Five rustic tent-only sites cater to primitive campers, and boat-in camping is available at the old boat landing on the north side of the lake. Amenities include a bathhouse with hot showers and accessible restrooms, an RV dump station, and WiFi throughout the park. Campsite 17 is the designated ADA-accessible site with a concrete path to the bathhouse. A half-mile boardwalk trail provides access to the lake from the campground. Beyond camping, the park offers kayaking, canoeing, paddleboarding, fishing, and extensive hiking and biking trails. Nine cabins are available for those seeking more comfortable accommodations. Reservations can be made up to 13 months in advance with a 2-night minimum stay.
