Keowee Toxaway State Park Campground

Nestled in the Blue Ridge foothills of upstate South Carolina, Keowee-Toxaway State Park campground sits at the edge of Lake Keowee, offering a peaceful retreat with excellent paddling access. The park features 10 paved RV sites accommodating vehicles up to 40 feet total length, with 50-amp electrical service at all sites, water hookups, and full hookups including sewer at three sites. A dump station serves RV campers. The designated tent camping area includes 10 sites, each with an individual tent pad, picnic table, fire ring, lantern holder, water access, and 20-amp power. Restroom facilities with hot showers are conveniently located for all campers. For those seeking a more primitive experience, backcountry camping is available at three trailside sites near Lake Keowee shores, accessible by hiking trail or canoe/kayak. A group backcountry area accommodates 6-25 campers at $2 per person per night. The park offers free admission and features 5.5 miles of hiking trails, a canoe/kayak launch, WiFi, and EV charging. Pets are welcome in the campground on leashes no longer than six feet. Reservations require a two-night minimum stay and can be made up to 13 months in advance through the South Carolina State Parks reservation system.
