Devils Fork State Park Campground

Open — The main campground is closed seasonally from December through February. Park gates are open daily from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. in late fall through mid-spring, and 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. in late spring through mid-fall. Reservations require a minimum two-night stay and can be made through the South Carolina State Parks reservation system.

Devils Fork State Park Campground sits along the pristine shores of Lake Jocassee in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The main lakeside campground features 59 paved sites with water and electric hookups, accommodating both tents and RVs up to 40 feet in length. Each site includes one 12x12 elevated tent pad, picnic table, and fire ring. A central dump station is conveniently located along the main campground road, and restrooms with hot showers are easily accessible throughout the campground. For campers seeking a more rustic experience, the park offers 25 walk-in tent sites just a short walk from a central parking area. These sites feature elevated 12x12 tent pads, picnic tables, and fire rings, with water spigots and restrooms nearby. All campsites require vehicles, trailers, and motorhomes to remain on paved surfaces, and tents must be placed on pads or pavement only. Additionally, Devils Fork offers 25 boat-in backcountry campsites on the northern shore of Lake Jocassee at the base of Musterground Mountain, accessible only by boat and requiring a short moderate hike. The campground serves as an ideal base for exploring Lake Jocassee's mountain spring-fed waters, hiking trails, and nearby waterfalls in the Jocassee Gorges area.
