About

Cherry Hill Campground sits in the mountains of Oconee County within Francis Marion and Sumter National Forests, just off Highway 107. The 29-site campground includes 19 standard nonelectric sites that accommodate tents, trailers, and RVs, plus 10 tent-only sites. Each site features a picnic table, cooking grill, and lantern post. Centrally-located facilities include potable drinking water, a restroom building with flush toilets and hot showers, and an RV dump station. The campground serves as an excellent base for exploring the Chattooga Wild and Scenic River corridor. Nearby attractions include the Chattooga River Picnic Area, Walhalla State Fish Hatchery, and the Ellicott Rock Wilderness Area where South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia meet. A portion of the Foothills Trail passes through the area, and Whitewater Falls is about a 30-minute drive to the northeast. Reservations are required and can be made up to six months in advance through Recreation.gov. Check-in is at 4:00 p.m. and check-out at 2:00 p.m. Quiet hours are observed from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. A maximum 14-day stay limit applies, with a limit of 2 vehicles and 8 people per site.
