About

South Brush Creek Campground is located on the west side of the Snowy Range in the Medicine Bow National Forest, nestled along the shores of South Brush Creek at 7,900 feet elevation. The campground is divided into two sections within a sunny forest of lodgepole pine, fir, and aspen trees, creating a pleasant mountain setting. The campground offers 20 campsites, including 6 pull-through sites designed for trailers under 25 feet. Each site includes a picnic table and fire grate. A camp host is present during the operating season. Potable water is available from late May through mid-September, and vault toilets and trash service are provided. The Snowy Range area is renowned for its diverse recreation opportunities. Hikers can access numerous trails in the surrounding national forest, while OHV enthusiasts have access to extensive trail systems. South Brush Creek provides fishing opportunities, and the area is home to abundant wildlife including elk, mule deer, moose, black bear, bobcat, and coyote. The nearby Snowy Range Scenic Byway (Highway 130) offers spectacular alpine scenery. Pets are allowed on leash no longer than 6 feet.
