The National Weather Service in Cheyenne has issued a Red Flag Warning, which is in effect from noon to 9 PM MDT Tuesday. * AFFECTED AREA...Fire weather zones 417 through 430. * WIND...West to northwest at 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph, turning northerly into the evening hours. * HUMIDITY...Between 8 and 16 percent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Isolated high-based showers will have the potential to produce gusty and erratic winds along with a few strikes of lightning without much, if any, rainfall during the afternoon and evening hours. * IMPACTS...any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Brush Creek Pavilion is a reservable day-use facility in the Snowy Range area of Medicine Bow-Routt National Forest. The covered pavilion measures approximately 32 by 40 feet and can accommodate up to 75 people, making it suitable for group gatherings, family reunions, or events. Six picnic tables are provided inside with additional space for portable furniture. Amenities include a barbecue grill adjacent to the pavilion, an outdoor fire ring, an accessible toilet located approximately 300 feet away, and a bear-resistant dumpster about 100 yards from the site. The pavilion is surrounded by historic structures built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s, and the nearby Brush Creek Visitor Center operates June through September. Overnight use or camping is prohibited at the pavilion; the facility must be fully vacated half an hour after sunset. For overnight camping, nearby options include Ryan Park Campground, South Brush Creek Campground, and Lincoln Park Campground, all located just minutes away along the Snowy Range Scenic Byway.
