About

South Abutment A is a day-use recreation area located along the Outlet Channel at Grenada Lake, managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Vicksburg District. The area features group shelter pavilions suitable for family gatherings and events, with Pavilion 470 able to accommodate up to 75 individuals. The pavilion area is within walking distance of restrooms, a playground, and a nature trail. The site offers excellent fishing access via the boat ramp and a handicap-accessible fishing pier overlooking the Outlet Channel. Grenada Lake is known for quality crappie, bass, catfish, and bream fishing. Nearby attractions include the Overlook, Lost Bluff Hiking Trail, and Dogwoods Golf Course. Note: This is a day-use facility with picnic pavilions, not an overnight campground. No tent or RV camping sites are available at this location. For overnight camping at Grenada Lake, visitors should consider North Abutment Campground or other designated camping areas around the lake.

Located at 2202 Scenic Loop 333, Grenada, MS 38601, on the south side of Grenada Dam along the Outlet Channel.
