About
Eagle Point Campground is a primitive camping area located on the shores of Grenada Lake in north-central Mississippi, managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The campground offers eight updated primitive campsites that overlook the lake, all designated as tent-only sites without electric hookups. The campground features an updated bathroom facility with flush toilets and running water.
Situated adjacent to Main Beach and near Oak Grove Beach, Tall Pines Day Use Area, and Grenada Landing, Eagle Point provides easy access to a variety of lake recreation activities. Grenada Lake is known for excellent crappie fishing and is fed by the Yalobusha and Skuna Rivers. During winter months, the water level in the reservoir drops more than 20 feet to provide storage for spring rains and prevent flooding, which may affect lake access.
The campground enforces quiet hours from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM, and pets must be kept on leash. Campers should note that there is a required boat ramp fee for lake access, and fishing licenses can be purchased on Highway 8 near the campground. As with all Corps of Engineers facilities, campers are encouraged to buy firewood locally and burn it on-site to prevent the spread of tree-killing pests.
