About

Dam Area Central is a day-use recreation area at Grenada Lake in Mississippi, managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. This shaded facility sits near the intersection of Highway 332 and the Toe Road, approximately 5 miles from downtown Grenada. The area is designed for group gatherings and outdoor recreation rather than overnight camping. The facility features two group shelter pavilions available for reservation: Pavilion 563 accommodates up to 150 people, while Pavilion 502 holds up to 50 people. Both shelters have electric hookups. Additional amenities include restrooms, playgrounds, ball fields, basketball courts, tennis courts, and a mile-long fitness trail where visitors can spot local wildlife and plant species. Nearby attractions include the Overlook, Old Fort Cannon Area, Lost Bluff Hiking Trail, and The Dogwoods Golf Course at Hugh White State Park.
