About
Soda Springs Campground is a primitive forest campground located along Chiquito Creek in the Bass Lake Ranger District of Sierra National Forest. The sites are spread across a large sandy flat with good shade from surrounding trees. Each site comes equipped with a picnic table, grill, and fire ring. The campground provides vault toilets but has no potable water, so campers must bring their own water supply. The campground is situated near Mammoth Pool Reservoir, though boat parking is not available at individual campsites. Boats may be kept at the nearby launch area or at Wagner's private campground. The maximum vehicle length is 20 feet, making this campground unsuitable for larger RVs or trailers. Groups are limited to 6 people per site with a maximum stay of 14 days. Access is via Minarets Road (Forest Road 81), approximately 27.5 miles from North Fork. The campground typically operates seasonally from May through September and is first-come, first-served with no advance reservations available.
Directions
From Fresno, take Highway 41 north to Road 200. Turn right and travel east to North Fork. Continue through North Fork to Minarets Road (Forest Road 81) and travel 27.5 miles to the campground.
