About

Little Jackass Campground is a small, primitive campground nestled along Fish Creek in the Sierra National Forest. Shaded by a mix of oak and pine trees, this quiet campground offers a peaceful retreat for those seeking a rustic camping experience. Each campsite is equipped with a picnic table, grill, and fire ring. The campground has one vault toilet but no potable water, so campers must bring their own water supply. This is bear country, so proper food storage is required. The closest services are at Wagner's Resort, approximately 2.5 miles away, which offers camping, food, gas, phone, and fishing supplies. Wagner's is the only gas station on Minarets Road. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservation system and no fees. Maximum group size is 6 people per site.

Directions

From Fresno take Hwy 41 north to Road 200. Turn right and travel east to North Fork. Continue through North Fork to Minarets Road (Forest Road 81), travel 39 miles (approximately 2 miles past the Mammoth Pool turnoff), turn right on 6S22 and travel 0.5 miles to the campground.
