About
Silver Falls Group Site sits in forested mountain terrain on the banks of the Entiat River in the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest's Entiat Ranger District. The campground is positioned at 2,400 feet elevation, 30 miles from Highway 97A, and serves as a base camp for outdoor recreation including fishing, hiking, and waterfall viewing. The group site accommodates a maximum of 60 people and 30 vehicles, featuring picnic tables, campfire rings, accessible vault toilets, garbage service, and a historic picnic shelter with a fireplace built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s. The maximum trailer length is 35 feet. No electricity or potable water is available at the site. The Silver Falls National Recreation Trail is the main attraction, offering a 1.8-mile hike through towering cedar and pine canopies to one of the region's most beautiful waterfalls. The handcrafted stone staircase and bridges provide panoramic views of the surrounding mountains with approximately 600 feet of elevation gain. Anglers can fish the Entiat River above Entiat Falls, about 2.5 miles upriver, where rainbow, cutthroat, and eastern brook trout are found. Selective gear rules apply. Additional nearby attractions include Box Canyon and Entiat Falls, both accessible via Entiat River Road.
