About

Big Hill Cabin Campsite offers a truly backcountry experience in the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest. This single-site dispersed camping area sits at 6,800 feet elevation in the Entiat Ranger District and features a shelter on-site. The location provides access to the Pyramid Mountain Trail, which begins less than a mile down the road. This is a primitive, no-fee site that operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservations available. The access road is rough and requires a vehicle with good clearance. Trailers are not recommended due to road conditions. Campers should come fully prepared as no water or restroom facilities are available on-site. The high elevation means seasonal access is typically limited by snow conditions. Day hiking and picnicking are popular activities in the area, with Pyramid Mountain Trail offering backcountry exploration opportunities.
