About

Lake Creek Campground is nestled along the Entiat River at 2,200 feet elevation in the sunny east slopes of the Cascades within Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest. The campground offers 18 sites, with 9 available for reservation and the remainder first-come, first-served. Many sites overlook the Entiat River as it cascades down the valley toward the Columbia. The open forest provides abundant sunshine and diverse habitat supporting deer, bears, coyotes, and other wildlife. Salmon and steelhead still use the Entiat as spawning grounds. Recreation opportunities are abundant. Three trails start adjacent to the campground for hiking, horse riding, mountain biking, and dirt biking. The Silver Falls National Recreation Trail, a short drive up the river, provides a 1.5-mile loop hike to spectacular waterfalls. Backpackers and horse riders can access the Glacier Peak Wilderness from the Entiat River Trailhead approximately 12 miles from the campground. The Entiat National Fish Hatchery at mile 6 welcomes visitors in summer. The tourist destinations of Chelan and Leavenworth are within reasonable driving distance.
