About

Silver Bowl Campground is a developed Forest Service campground with 18 designated sites situated near the shores of Silver Lake in Lassen National Forest. At 6,000 feet elevation, the campground offers a peaceful mountain setting with convenient access to water-based recreation and wilderness hiking. Each campsite accommodates up to 8 people and one vehicle, and features a picnic table and fire ring. Silver Lake provides opportunities for fishing and boating with a boat launch ramp available. A nature trail encircles the lake, offering scenic day hikes. The campground serves as a gateway to the Caribou Wilderness, with trailheads located nearby for backcountry adventures. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis. Fees are collected upon arrival and must be paid prior to each night of camping. The hand pump water system is currently out of service, though water is available at nearby Rocky Knoll Campground. Vault toilets serve the campground. Quiet hours are enforced from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., and pets must be leashed at all times.

From County Road A21, take Silver Lake Road until you reach Silver Lake. The campground is located near the lake shores.
