SAFETY ALERT - South Antelope Bridge out, Do Not Cross
Damage to the underside of South Antelope Bridge on Ponderosa Way was discovered by Forest Service Road Crews. Engineering staff are currently assessing the damage.
Lassen National Forest Camping Restrictions
Forest Order No. 06-24-01 limits the number of days and individuals camping on the Lassen National Forest.

About
Rocky Knoll Campground is a developed Forest Service campground located near Silver Lake in the Almanor Ranger District of Lassen National Forest. Situated at 6,000 feet elevation in Lassen County, this scenic campground offers 18 designated campsites available on a first-come, first-served basis with no advance reservations accepted. The campground accommodates both tent campers and RVs, with some sites suitable for larger vehicles. Each campsite is equipped with a campfire ring and picnic table. Water is available via hand pump, and vault toilets serve the campground. The facility operates as a pack-in, pack-out location with no trash service provided. Rocky Knoll serves as an excellent base camp for exploring the surrounding area. Silver Lake offers fishing opportunities, while numerous hiking trails provide access to scenic vistas and the adjacent Caribou Wilderness. The campground's high-elevation location in the volcanic landscapes of Lassen County provides a peaceful mountain camping experience surrounded by conifer forests and alpine terrain.

From county road A21, take Silver Lake Road until you reach Silver Lake. The campground is located near the lake.
