About

Shikellamy State Park sits at the dramatic confluence of the North and West branches of the Susquehanna River in Northumberland and Union counties. The park is split into two distinct sections offering different experiences for visitors. The 50-acre Marina Section occupies the tip of Packers Island and features a full-service marina with two boat launches, paved walking paths, picnic areas, and close-up river views. The 190-acre Overlook Section perches atop a 360-foot cliff offering three scenic overlooks with sweeping views of the river confluence, along with hiking trails and additional picnic facilities. The park offers five pavilions available for reservation (capacity 50-80 people), but there are no tent sites, RV sites, or cabins for overnight camping. Visitors looking for camping should consider nearby state parks in the region. Day-use facilities include pit toilets, potable water, playgrounds, and a butterfly garden.
