About

Worlds End State Park encompasses 780 acres in a narrow S-shaped valley carved by Loyalsock Creek in Sullivan County, northeastern Pennsylvania. Surrounded by Loyalsock State Forest, the park offers a wild and rugged setting that attracts visitors seeking pristine natural beauty. The campground features 70 sites for tents and trailers along Pennsylvania Route 154, with half offering electric hookups. Water and shower facilities are within walking distance of all sites, and a sanitary dump station is available for RVs. The park is renowned for its spectacular scenery, particularly the mountain laurel blooms in June and brilliant fall foliage displays. Canyon Vista, accessible via Mineral Spring and Cold Run roads, provides outstanding overlooks of the surrounding mountains. The park serves as an access point for the Loyalsock Trail, a rugged 59-mile hiking trail that traverses some of Pennsylvania's most challenging terrain. The Loyalsock Creek offers fishing opportunities and whitewater kayaking during spring runoff from March to May. In addition to the campground, the park offers 19 rustic cabins available year-round, equipped with basic amenities including refrigerators, stoves, fireplace inserts, and furniture. Three organized group tenting sites can accommodate up to 90 people combined. Winter visitors enjoy cross-country skiing and snowmobiling on park roads and surrounding state forest trails.
