About

Schoolcraft State Park Group Campground provides a peaceful retreat for groups seeking a rustic camping experience in northern Minnesota. Situated alongside the Mississippi River among tall red and white pines, this tent-only facility can host groups of up to 50 people. The site includes access to vault toilets and running water, along with picnic tables and fire rings with grills for cooking. The park emphasizes a primitive camping experience without modern facilities. There are no showers, electricity, or hookups available. Groups can take advantage of the park's boat launch on the Mississippi River for fishing walleye and northern pike. The heavily wooded and shaded setting offers excellent opportunities for relaxation and enjoying nature. Reservations are required for all campsites and can be made up to 120 days in advance through the Minnesota state parks reservation system. A vehicle permit is required for all vehicles entering the park.
