About
Collins Campground offers a tranquil escape along the shores of the Duckabush River in Olympic National Forest. This first-come, first-served campground features 16 campsites, with 10 sites accommodating tents, trailers, and RVs up to 21 feet, and 6 tent-only sites with parking spurs. Several campsites are positioned directly near the river, providing scenic views and the soothing sounds of flowing water. The campground operates as a rustic Forest Service facility with vault toilets and fire rings at each site, but no potable water or hookups. Campers should bring their own water supply. The Duckabush area is popular for hiking, with the Duckabush Trail trailhead located just one mile west of the campground. The river features swift water, rapids, and waterfalls, making it unsuitable for floating but offering scenic beauty. The campground is accessed via a gravel road and is situated in a heavily wooded setting, providing a more primitive camping experience. The facility charges $14 per night for single sites with up to 2 vehicles included, and $5 for each additional vehicle. Senior and Access pass holders receive a 50% discount. Payment is primarily cashless using the Recreation.gov Scan & Pay system, though cash may be accepted. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no advance reservations available.
