About

Sandy Beach Campground is one of the utility campgrounds at Guernsey State Park, a historic park surrounding Guernsey Reservoir in southeastern Wyoming. The campground features 32 sites equipped with electric and water hookups, making it suitable for RV and trailer camping. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring, with comfort stations serving the campground area. Guernsey State Park has long attracted visitors for boating, water skiing, and swimming, with miles of shoreline providing access for water-based recreation. The park also features historic CCC-era structures, a museum, and hiking trails. A coin-operated shower facility is located near park headquarters, and a dump station is available at the park's south entrance. Electric service remains available year-round, though water service to the campgrounds operates only from April 15 through October 15. All water systems and the dump station close and winterize on October 1. Reservable camping operates May 1 through September 30, with reservations available up to four months in advance through reserve.wyoming.gov or by phone.
