About

The Guernsey Yurt Area at Guernsey State Park offers a unique camping experience with four yurts positioned high on a bluff overlooking Guernsey Reservoir. Located on Skyline Road en route to the historic CCC-built Castle, these yurts provide stunning panoramic views of the water and surrounding landscape. Each yurt is equipped with solar-powered lighting and a ceiling fan, along with basic furnishings including bunk beds. However, the yurts do not have bathrooms, kitchens, running water, standard electricity, heating, or air conditioning, so campers should pack and dress accordingly for the season. Yurt #2 is ADA accessible. Restroom facilities are available nearby. The rental rate is $67.20 per night including taxes. The location is ideal for visitors exploring Oregon Trail history, with sites like Register Cliff and Oregon Trail Ruts nearby, as well as those seeking water recreation on Guernsey Reservoir. The park features historic structures built by the Civilian Conservation Corps during the 1930s, scenic drives, hiking trails, and fishing opportunities.

Directions
