About

Rolling M. Ranch Campground sits within Chino Hills State Park, one of the last remaining large open spaces in the rapidly urbanizing Puente-Chino Hills corridor. The 20 primitive campsites are set among native California landscapes featuring coast live oaks, elderberry, and toyon, with wildlife including mule deer, coyotes, and over 100 bird species. The campground offers basic amenities including flush toilets, hot showers, and potable water, though no hookups are available. The historic Rolling M Ranch, once a working cattle operation, provides a glimpse into Southern California's ranching heritage. An accessible horse-mounting platform and the Native Plant Trail are located nearby. Over 90 miles of multi-use trails radiate from the area, suitable for hiking, mountain biking, and equestrian use. Trails are limited to daylight hours only. The park operates on seasonal hours, with gates closing at 5pm in winter and 7pm in summer. Notably, campfires, ground fires, and charcoal BBQs are prohibited throughout the park due to fire danger. The park may close for 48 hours following significant rainfall or during Red Flag fire warnings.
