About
Crystal Cove Beach Cottages preserve a 12.3-acre historic seaside colony within the 2,791-acre Crystal Cove State Park. Originally built between 1935 and 1955, these 40+ cottages have been carefully restored to maintain their rustic coastal charm while incorporating modern plumbing, electricity, and safety features. The collection includes individual cottages ranging from studios to two-bedroom houses, plus dorm-style lodges offering private rooms with shared common spaces. Each cottage is fully furnished with vintage decor authentic to the period. Kitchens include a refrigerator and microwave, though full stovetops are only available in ADA-accessible units. All cottages have private bathrooms with linens and towels provided at check-in. There are no televisions, phones, or wifi, encouraging a digital detox experience. Trash removal is the only daily service provided. Guests enjoy direct access to 3.2 miles of sandy beach. The Beachcomber Café offers oceanfront dining, and the Shake Shack provides casual fare. An accessible shuttle with wheelchair lift transports visitors across Pacific Coast Highway, and beach wheelchairs are available for loan with advance notice.
