About

Riverside Campground is situated along the scenic Henry's Fork of the Snake River in Caribou-Targhee National Forest, just 15 miles north of Ashton, Idaho. At an elevation of 6,200 feet, the campground offers several single family sites and one group site accommodating up to 40 people. Each site is equipped with a picnic table, campfire ring, and grill. Lodgepole pines provide partial shade while aspens dot the landscape, and summer wildflowers are abundant. The Henry's Fork is renowned for fly-fishing for rainbow and brook trout, making this campground a favorite for anglers. The river also offers opportunities for tubing, canoeing, kayaking, and rafting. Wildlife viewing is excellent, with moose and deer frequently spotted throughout the area. The campground's location near Island Park provides access to hundreds of miles of hiking, biking, horseback riding, and ATV trails. Island Park Reservoir and Henry's Lake are nearby with boat ramps, fish cleaning stations, and additional water recreation. Both Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks are close enough for day trips, offering world-class hiking and fishing in spectacular natural settings.
