About
Riverside Campground is located 6 miles northeast of Stanley on Highway 75, nestled in a lodgepole pine forest along the Salmon River. The campground consists of 17 sites divided into two areas: sites 1-8 on the left and sites 10-17 on the right. All sites are first-come, first-served with no advance reservations available. Payment can be made via QR code using the Recreation.gov mobile app's Scan and Pay feature. The campground provides vault toilets, potable water, and picnic tables at each site. It serves as a gateway to the Casino Creek trailhead, which leads to the isolated and pristine Casino Lakes and continues into the White Cloud Mountains. The area is excellent for fishing on the Salmon River, day hikes, and backpacking. Riverside is one of four campgrounds in the immediate area, alongside Salmon River, Casino Creek, and Mormon Bend campgrounds, all prized for their Salmon River access and fishing opportunities. Occupancy is limited to 10 days within a 30-day period within a 30-mile radius.
