About

Riverford Campground is a small scenic campground nestled along the Wild and Scenic Clackamas River near its confluence with the Collawash River in Mt. Hood National Forest. The setting features a dense canopy of Douglas fir and hemlocks, providing shade and seclusion for campers seeking a quiet forest experience. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no advance reservations. It features vault toilets but no potable water, so campers must bring their own drinking water. The site has a strict 16-foot vehicle length limit, making it suitable only for tents, small trailers, and compact camping vehicles. Larger RVs and trailers cannot be accommodated. Recreational opportunities include riverside fishing and picnicking along the Clackamas River. The campground typically operates seasonally from late May through early September, managed by Alaska Recreational Management (ARM) as the concessionaire.
