Riverbend Campground sits within the century-old Pitchfork Ranch at Walker River State Recreation Area, near Yerington, Nevada. This campground features 16 sites suitable for travel trailers, motorhomes, or tents, each with a table, fire ring, and shade ramada. The property was donated to Nevada State Parks in recent years, opening land that had been closed to public access for over 100 years. Visitors have access to 7 miles of the celebrated East Walker River, offering world-class fishing, kayaking, wildlife viewing, hiking, and biking. The park's Visitor Center showcases the colorful history of the area and is open Tuesday through Sunday. A sister campground, Quail Run, offers RV hookups nearby, and cabins are also available for rent within the park.

Directions

From Yerington, head south on Highway 208 and turn left on East Walker Road. Continue for 4 miles to the entrance of Walker River State Recreation Area. From Highway 395, take the 208 turnoff through Wellington, then turn right on East Walker Road after Wilson Canyon.
