Quail Run Campground is located at the Pitchfork Ranch unit of Walker River State Recreation Area, a sprawling recreation area near Yerington in Lyon County, Nevada. The campground features 19 sites with water and electric hookups, all designed as pull-through sites suitable for RVs up to 40 feet. Each campsite includes a picnic table, fire ring, and shade ramada for protection from the high desert sun. The area provides access to camping, hiking, biking, wildlife viewing, kayaking, and fishing along the Walker River. Centralized facilities include restrooms with showers and an RV dump station. The park enforces a 14-day camping limit within any 30-day period. Reservations are available through reservenevada.com with check-in at 2:00 PM and checkout at 11:00 AM. Base camping fees are $15 per vehicle per night for Nevada residents ($20 for non-residents), plus an additional $10 per night for utility hookups. The park office is open Tuesday through Friday from 9 AM to 4 PM and Saturday through Sunday from 10 AM to 2 PM, closed Mondays and state holidays.
