About
Reynolds Creek is an Army Corps of Engineers campground located on the scenic shores of Waco Lake in central Texas. The facility offers 51 campsites including 41 regular RV and tent sites and 10 dedicated equestrian sites. RV sites feature electric hookups and accommodate a variety of camping equipment. Day-use picnic areas are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The campground provides excellent access to outdoor recreation. The Tejas Nature Trail, an easy 1.2-mile hike, winds through ash and juniper trees starting from the park. For more challenging adventures, the 20-mile Lacy Point Hiking and Biking Trail accommodates horseback riding, hiking, and biking. A boat ramp and dock provide lake access for fishing and boating. The lake's submerged timber structure holds catfish, crappie, largemouth bass, and sunfish year-round. Waco Lake was formed in 1963 with completion of the Lake Waco Dam on the Bosque River. Park gates lock at 10 p.m. and reopen at 6 a.m., with a night exit available for departures but no vehicle entry during closed hours. Maximum stay is 14 days within any 30-day period.
Directions
From I-35, take exit 330B Highway 6 North toward Meridian for about 7 miles. After passing over the lake on the Twin Bridges, take the Speegleville Road exit. Turn right on Speegleville Road. After 1 mile reach a 4-way stop and continue straight on Speegleville Road for about 2 miles. Park entrance will be on the right.
