About
Twin Bridges Group Shelter sits on the west shore of Waco Lake, offering a 5,250 square foot open-air pavilion perfect for large group events, family reunions, and picnics. The shelter accommodates up to 225 guests with parking for 97 vehicles. Amenities include four 110-volt electrical outlets, water faucets, a large outdoor cooking grill, covered picnic tables, horseshoe pits, and a sand volleyball court. The surrounding Twin Bridges Park features two white sand swimming beaches, a covered playground, and a four-lane boat ramp with dock for water access. The lake's submerged timber along the main shoreline provides excellent year-round fishing for catfish, crappie, largemouth and smallmouth bass, and sunfish. The 20-mile Lacy Point Hiking and Biking Trail is accessible from nearby Lacy Point boat ramp or Reynolds Creek Park. This is strictly a day-use facility. No overnight camping is allowed at the shelter. The facility operates from 6:00 AM to 8:30 PM.
