About
Twin Bridges Group Shelter sits on one of Waco Lake's sandy beaches on the west shore, offering an ideal venue for family reunions, company parties, and group gatherings within Waco city limits. The 5,250 square foot open-air shelter accommodates up to 225 guests and includes a large outdoor cooking grill, electrical outlets, water faucets, horseshoe pits, and a sand volleyball court with parking for 97 vehicles. The facility provides convenient access to Twin Bridges Park amenities including two white sand swimming beaches, restrooms with showers, and a covered playground. The main lake shoreline features submerged timber that attracts catfish, crappie, large and smallmouth bass, and sunfish year-round. Visitors can also enjoy a four-lane boat ramp and dock for water activities. The 20-mile Lacy Point Hiking and Biking Trail is accessible from nearby Lacy Point boat ramp or Reynolds Creek Park for those interested in horseback riding, hiking, and biking. Waco Lake is fed by the Bosque River, which runs 115 miles through central Texas.
Directions
From I-35, take exit 330B Highway 6 North toward Meridian for about 6 miles. After passing over the lake on the Twin Bridges, take the first exit toward Lake Waco/Speegleville Park. Turn left on the access road and the park entrance will be on the right.
