About

Redbank Spring Campground is a secluded retreat located in the southern Black Hills National Forest, approximately 11 miles west of Deerfield Lake along Road 294. With only four sites available, this rustic campground offers a peaceful escape for campers seeking to be surrounded by the sounds of nature away from crowds. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no advance reservations available. Due to the removal of outdated toilet facilities, the campground is only open to visitors with self-contained toilets, whether in RVs with built-in units or portable above-ground toilets for proper waste disposal at sanitary facilities. Campers must follow pack-in, pack-out procedures for all trash and waste. No potable water is available on-site, so visitors should bring adequate supplies. Each campsite includes a picnic table and fire pit. The campground is typically accessible from May through early December, though access may be limited by weather and road conditions. The Hell Canyon Ranger District manages this location and can be reached at (605) 673-9200 for current conditions and information.
