About
Ditch Creek Campground offers a quiet camping experience adjacent to Ditch Creek in the Black Hills National Forest. The campground features 13 sites in an open setting with spruce trees along the creek banks. In June 2022, the sites were completely reconstructed to accommodate modern-sized RVs, provide accessibility, reduce resource damage, and improve fire safety. The campground operates year-round on a first-come-first-served basis with no reservations available. Peak season camping costs $22 per night, while off-season camping is free. Interagency Senior and Access passes provide a 50% discount on the campsite fee. The stay limit is 14 days. The Ditch Creek OHV Trailhead is located directly across the road, making this an ideal base for off-highway vehicle enthusiasts. The campground is approximately 5 miles south of Deerfield Reservoir, accessible via Deerfield Road from Hill City.
Directions
From Hill City, travel west on Deerfield Road for 11 miles, then turn left onto Ditch Creek Road and follow for 4.5 miles. The campground will be on the right.
