About

Beaver Creek Campground is a remote and quiet 8-site campground in the Black Hills National Forest, situated on the Wyoming/South Dakota border northwest of Hill City. The campground sits alongside Beaver Creek, providing a peaceful setting with light usage levels ideal for those seeking solitude. This first-come, first-served campground offers one vault toilet and potable water during peak season only. One site is ADA accessible. Sites are non-electric with generators allowed between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. Pets are welcome with a $2 per night fee and must remain leashed and attended at all times. During off-season, fewer sites may be available, with some sites located outside the main campground gate. Campers should be aware that fire restrictions are in effect for the South Dakota portion of the Black Hills National Forest, meaning campfires are only permitted in established fireplaces at designated recreation areas.

Directions

From Newcastle, WY, proceed north on US Hwy. 85 approximately 16 miles to 'Four Corners'. Turn right (east) on County Road 811 for 2 miles, then straight ahead (east) on County Road 39 for approximately 3 miles, then right (east) on FSR 111 for approximately 2 miles to the campground.
