About
Rainy Creek Campground is a small, primitive Forest Service campground located in the Wenatchee River Ranger District of Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest. Situated at 2,100 feet elevation along Rainy Creek, this lightly-used campground provides a quiet retreat approximately 10 miles from Lake Wenatchee. The campground offers basic amenities including vault toilets and picnic tables, but campers must bring their own water as no potable water is available on-site. Access to the campground requires traveling west from Leavenworth on Highway 2, then north on Highway 207 and Little Wenatchee River Road before turning onto Forest Road 6701 (Rainy Creek Road). The campground can accommodate trailers up to 30 feet and charges $10 per night for single sites with an additional $5 fee per extra vehicle. Interagency Senior and Access Pass holders receive a 50% discount on campsite fees. The campground operates seasonally, typically closing in fall due to snow and weather conditions at this elevation.
