About

Lake Creek Campground is a small, primitive campground located along the Little Wenatchee River in the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest, about 11 miles from Lake Wenatchee. This lightly used campground offers a peaceful forested setting with several campsites, each equipped with a fire ring and picnic table. The campground provides vault toilets but has no potable water, so visitors must bring their own. Accessed via Forest Road 6500, the campground is reached by taking US-2 west from Leavenworth for 15 miles, then turning right on WA-207 North (Lake Wenatchee Highway) for 10.5 miles, and finally turning left on Little Wenatchee River Road (Forest Road 6500) for approximately 10.2 miles. The remote location and basic amenities make this an ideal spot for visitors seeking a quiet, backcountry camping experience. The campground operates seasonally, typically accessible from late spring through fall when Forest Road 6500 is open. During winter months, the road is closed due to snow, making the campground inaccessible. No reservations are accepted; all sites operate on a first-come, first-served basis with no camping fees required.
