About

Radium Recreation Area sits along the Colorado River within the Upper Colorado River Special Recreation Management Area, managed by the BLM Kremmling Field Office. With over 100,000 annual visitors, it functions as both a campground and river access point for float boating and fishing. The 16 single sites and 2 group sites accommodate various setups: walk-in sites (1-4), pull-through sites (5-13) for vehicles with small trailers, and pull-in sites (14-16) limited to 30 feet. Each campsite includes a fire ring, picnic table, and access to vault toilets and trash receptacles. There is no potable water, electric hookups, or cell service without a booster. Two developed boat ramps provide river access. The campground operates from April 1 through November 30; fees apply during this season. December through March the area is closed with no services. Note that there is no designated trail access to Radium Warm Springs from this recreation area. The Colorado Parks and Wildlife Mugrage Site along Radium Road is closed to protect bighorn sheep habitat. The recommended route to Radium Warm Springs is via Warm Springs Road, accessed 1.5 miles northeast on Trough Road.
