About

Lynx Pass Campground sits at 8,989 feet elevation in the Gore Pass area of Medicine Bow-Routt National Forest, between Kremmling and Yampa, Colorado. This small campground features 11 sites arranged in a loop through lodgepole pine forest, providing a shaded, secluded atmosphere. Each site has a picnic table and fire grate. Facilities include potable water, trash service, and two composting toilets (one ADA accessible). The campground serves as a base for outdoor recreation including fishing at nearby Lagunita Lake, mountain biking on Tepee Creek Trail and Morrison Divide Trail, and ATV riding on designated trails. Note that ATVs must be under 50 inches wide for nearby trails and must be trailered from the campground to trailheads. The area is popular for big game hunting in fall. At this elevation, expect cold evenings and cool mornings even in summer. Snow can cover sites into the second week of June, making the typical season mid-June through late September. The campground operates first-come, first-served with no reservations.
