The Aspen-Sopris Ranger District in Carbondale will be closed for construction until 2025, and the Supervisor's Office visitor center in Glenwood Springs is closed until further notice. Please call (970) 945-2521 for any Aspen-Sopris specific inquiries.
Ruedi Marina Day Use area Dump Station is CLOSED
The septic waste dump station at Ruedi Marina day use area is closed and non-functional. The nearest dump stations are in Silt and Edwards.

About
Willows Campground sits on the picturesque north shore of Green Mountain Reservoir in White River National Forest, approximately 24.5 miles north of Silverthorne. The campground features 35 first-come, first-served sites and serves as an ideal base for water recreation enthusiasts. Green Mountain Reservoir is a popular destination for boating, kayaking, fishing, water skiing, windsurfing, and jet skiing, with stunning views of the Williams Fork and Gore mountain ranges. All motorboats must launch from Heeney Marina and undergo mandatory Aquatic Nuisance Species inspection. Anglers can fish for rainbow and brown trout, as well as kokanee salmon in the reservoir's waters. The surrounding White River National Forest encompasses 2.3 million acres of diverse Rocky Mountain terrain, including eight wilderness areas and ten peaks exceeding 14,000 feet. The Spring Creek area at the northern end of the Gore Mountain Range offers a network of off-road vehicle trails winding through lodgepole pine and spruce/fir forests. Wildlife viewing opportunities abound, with elk, bighorn sheep, and various alpine species inhabiting the area.
Directions
From I-70 take exit 205 at Silverthorne/Dillon and travel north on Highway 9 for approximately 20 miles. Near the north end of Green Mountain Reservoir, turn left onto Heeney Road (County Road 30). The campground entrance is on the left along the reservoir. Make sure to pass the reservoir and turn at the second entrance to Heeney Road.
