About

Parker Dam State Park is a 968-acre Pennsylvania state park offering old-fashioned charm in the heart of the Allegheny Plateau. The campground features 133 sites ranging from completely shaded to open grassy locations along the eastern shore of a scenic 20-acre lake. Accommodations include 22 full-hookup sites with water, sewer, and electricity; 60 modern electric sites with 30 or 50-amp service; 23 non-electric sites; and 2 tent-only sites. Rustic cabins and organized group tenting areas are also available. Facilities include modern restrooms with flush toilets, hot showers, a sanitary dump station, coin-operated laundry, playground, and a seasonal camp store. The campground operates from mid-April through mid-December with a 14-day maximum stay in summer and 21 days off-season. Pets are welcome on designated sites. Beyond camping, the park provides access to swimming, boating on the electric-motor-only lake, fishing, and an extensive trail network including the western trailhead of the 73-mile Quehanna Trail System. The adjacent Moshannon State Forest and 50,000-acre Quehanna Wilderness offer backcountry exploration.
