About

Simon B. Elliott State Park is a 318-acre wooded retreat in the heart of Moshannon State Forest, offering a quiet camping experience away from crowds. The campground contains 24 non-electric sites suitable for tents and RVs up to 40 feet, all configured as back-in only. Modern restrooms with flush toilets serve the campground, though showers are not available at the camping area. A sanitary dump station provides convenience for RV campers. The park also features six rustic cabins of Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) origin, available year-round, each with private modern restrooms including showers. Campsite 7 and the campground restroom meet ADA accessibility standards. Pets are permitted at all campground sites. Beyond camping, the park offers hiking trails, fishing opportunities, and picnic areas with pavilions. The surrounding Moshannon State Forest provides additional recreation including hunting in season. Winter activities are available when conditions permit.
