Sinnemahoning State Park

Located in the heart of Pennsylvania's elk country, Sinnemahoning State Park campground provides a comfortable base for exploring one of the state's premier wildlife viewing destinations. The 35-site campground sits one mile south of the Park Office and Wildlife Center along PA 872, with sites that accommodate everything from tents to large recreational vehicles and motor homes. Each campsite comes equipped with a picnic table, lantern hook, and campfire ring. The campground features modern facilities including restrooms with flush toilets and hot showers, plus a centrally-located sanitary dump station. Some campsites and the restroom building are ADA accessible. Pets are permitted on designated sites. An amphitheater hosts interpretive programs during the camping season. The surrounding park centers on the 142-acre George B. Stevenson Reservoir, offering fishing for warmwater species and non-powered boating. The First Fork Sinnemahoning Creek provides additional angling opportunities. The park's location in the Pennsylvania Wilds makes it exceptional for wildlife observation, with elk frequently spotted in surrounding meadows, particularly during the fall rut season.

Directions

The park is located on PA 872 in Cameron and Potter counties, approximately 13 miles north of the PA 120 and PA 872 intersection near Sinnemahoning village, or 15 miles south of Austin. The campground is one mile south of the Park Office and Wildlife Center along PA 872.
